Tech sovereignty and national security

Of the 17 sectors that are specifically identified as sensitive from a national security perspective under the UK National Security and Investment Act (NSIA), around half relate to technology. This reflects the government’s political concerns around technological sovereignty and concerns around cyber attacks. And this focus on tech is one that we see across the globe especially the EU, US and China. 

Even though the NSIA is not yet in force, it still needs to be factored in to investment plans in the tech sector and beyond.

In our discussion with Financier World we talk about the new legal framework, the short and longer term impacts on investment in the UK market and practical tips on how investors can give their investment strategy the best chance of success.
