Podcast - ESG in the digital infra space in Asia: In conversation with Control Risks

In our Tech Legal Outlook 2023, our team talked about how achieving Net Zero will require significant new investment in tech and the infrastructure to support it. Governments, corporates and institutional investors are all looking for opportunities across all kinds of sustainable technology systems and digital infrastructure.

Employing technologies that achieve the transition to Net Zero often ultimately transform the way that enterprises do businesses because of the need to reach Net Zero in such tight timescales.

Net Zero tech also involves the use of tech and the data generated by it, to meet climate commitments or related regulatory obligations - such as disclosure and reporting obligations.

In our latest ESG podcast, my colleague Gilly Hutchinson and I sit down with Rosie Hawes and Clare Morton from Control Risks to discuss ESG in the digi-infra space in Asia, breaking down issues falling under each of the “E”, “S” and “G”.

"Many different technologies will need to be rapidly developed and scaled if the world is going to achieve the transition to net zero by 2050. They will require significant public and private investment in 2023 and beyond." Linklaters, Tech Legal Outlook 2023
